Witches' Ball 2017

Amarillo-Panhandle Humane Society

Feline Trap- Neuter- Return Program

With our familiars in mind, we set out to raise funds and awareness for the Amarillo-Panhandle Humane Society's Feline Trap-Neuter-Return program. The Witches' Council received an outpouring of support and generated enthusiasm for the cause. Our first annual event, Witches' Ball: Witches Through the Ages, proved to be a truly unique and magical experience for our kindred spirits and a "first" for our area.

  Curse of the Lycan

Hope Lives Here

In keeping with our canine, "lupine" theme for 2018, The Witches Council has selected Hope Lives Here to pour our magic into. This charity helps soldiers and dogs to save one another every day in our home, the Texas Panhandle.

Hope Lives Here provides service dogs for veterans who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), or military sexual trauma (MST). Service dogs are very expensive, with fees ranging from $10,000-$60,000. Unfortunately, insurance companies do not cover this cost. Through the program, eligible veterans are not obligated to pay a penny.

What makes Hope Lives Here unique? They rescue dogs from local shelters, pair them with a veteran, and train the two as a team. The bond formed between the service dog and veteran is like no other. Hope Lives Here believes in healing heroes, two at a time.
